Khao Lak, Thailand Hotel & Resort Guest Reviews
"Stayed in a Oriental Villa for 12 nights. Nice ans spacious villas, nice big bathroom with shower and tub. Resort is huge, but doesn t feel crowded. Great breakfast buffet with plenty of selctions. Very charming breakfst chef (Dome)who has learned to say good morning in about 12 different languages that we heard. Nice pool area with plenty of sun beds. The beach is just below from the pool area. Short walk to downtown with a wide selection of restaurants and some shops. All in all a good resort and great value for your money."
"trés beau hôtel, 2 piscines trés agreables, belle plage, proximité des commerces à 5mn à pieds, bon petit déjeuner varié, personnels trés souriants, site sawadee.com sérieux"

"It s all good! No problems recognizing the internet reservation. Shoulder season: Gave us a kid-bed at no extra charge! Adequate breakfast: Shoulder-season they cut back pretty drastically, but did make a Thai Fried Rice upon my request...turns out to be the best I ever had! Fresh fruit somewhat sparse (just pineapple/watermelon/banana) but ripe and fresh.2 pools: a small (kid) pool by the family holiday house, and the big pool. Note: If it s busy season and you don t like to deal with pool noise then don t get housing by the big pool...it s a bit of an echo chamber and sound really carries.Front office let me make free local phone calls on their (personal?) cell phones.Location rocks. Best thing to do: Visit the M/W/Sat afternoon market on the road to the main drag. Excellent streetfood (especially past about 1600), good bargains when haggling, and lots of interesting people. The market has a tourist section (souvenirs) and a local section (food/produce/household items).Attractions/adventures accessible by car of course - most outfits will pick you up anyway. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>"

"Very natural location much better than the new resorts at the beach, nice rooms, very good room service, mainly quiet except by asian visitors who like to drink a lot"
"Hotel is excellent! We were very pleased. The excellent work of the administration! A great beach! Once again - THANK YOU!"
"I can truly recommend this resort to anyone who wants to stay in a quiet and relaxed place for a nice price. I had happy dreams listening only the sea, cicadas and geckoes!I stayed 5 nights in Andamania Beach Resort in the end of the season in April. I had booked a garden view room, but when checking in I was upgraded to a sea view room. Apparently there was room in the hotel because of the season was in the end.The room was huge and very clean. There was fresh flowers changed in to my room every day! The view to the sea was not actually from the room but from the terrace. That did not matter much because the resort is right in the beach and there was only couple steps from my terrace to the pool. My room was in the ground floor so it smelled a little bit of mould or then it was the chemical they used in cleaning.Restaurant on the beach was reasonably priced and the food was good. There are some small restaurants and massage places on the beach too.The only minus is that the resort is really far from Khao Lak village and there is no Seven Eleven nearer. The resort though offers clients free shuttle bus to Khao Lak village every hour through the day. From KL you have to negotiate price with taxi drivers which is annoying. The staff spoke really poor English, but well this is Thailand! All the staff was always very friendly and helpful. <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>"
"Very nice and well taken care of Hotel. Must definitely be recommend if you want to relax. Staff very friendly and helpful unfortunately to many, especially at the Reception who need to improve their English."
"Lovely resort. Absolute worth it to stay in beachfront rooms. We stayed in 1001,which is the most private. Beautiful sunsets and we ordered room service most evenings, just to sit and watch sunsets. Best Massaman curry. Very good Padthai. Hotel on left, as you face sea, have good barbecue. Booked our tours to Tachai and Similan islands at beach tour operator on right of hotel. Mostly Scandinavia and Germans. Very nice beach and sea. Spent lots of time in the sea, whereas I usually spent in pool. Can highly recommend hotel. Very friendly staff <span style="display:none">[R24 integr.ERR:escaping]</span>"

"Good evening, very disappointed about this hotel: they sent us to another hotel because it was overbooked...problem was that this hôtel (bayfront hotel) was a category below!!!After 3 days we could finally check in the Laguna but received a very noisy room! discussion with the front manager (Tatsanai Chaikheio) was almost impossible because her english was not understandable and she did not show any efforts to compensate all the troubles we experienced! Finally a swiss german lady from Guest Relation (Claudia) offered us to send us to Le Meridien for the rest of our stay in Thailand, thank to her our 8 last days were saved but we still had our 5 first days ruined by those changes..."
"Hotel and staff excellent. Negatives are quality of food (except breakfast which was v.good) and beer not cold enough in beach restaurant."
"Very quiet and beautiful resort with placed just to the sea"
"Great hotel with High standard. The Beach is good, but it gets deep very fast.Loved the outlook shower, and the Extreme room in the villas."
